Top 5 High End Beauty Products on my Wish List

In other words, the makeup products I would already own if I had $1,634,835,902.

One of the biggest heartbreakers for a beauty junkie is saving up for weeks for that perfect makeup product, then by the time you make it yours, the next amazingbeautifulimusthaveitoriwilldie item hits the market. And so the cycle begins all over again.

I am one of those people. And because of this, I have a makeup to-buy list to help me keep track of all of the products I wish I had in my life (and because looking at it helps me trick myself that I actually own them. I never said I was sane!).

These are my current top 5. If any of them match your wish list, let me know in the comments below!

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette

Mecca Maxima, $78 at time of publish

UGH. Salivating. Just when I thought I finally completed the Naked Palette set over three years of saving, THEY GO AND PULL THIS ONE ON ME.

Just look at it! 12 shades of pure perfection, the Naked Smoky is something that I certainly don't need in my life (how many palettes does one girl really need? The answer: ALL OF THEM), but I know after a good few months of visiting this beauty in Mecca - does anyone else go in store to look at certain products multiple times but psyche yourself out of actually buying it? - it will eventually make its way into my transaction history. Sigh.

M.A.C Cosmetics Lipstick in Velvet Teddy, Whirl & Russian Red

Myer, $36

I recently got a call from the girls at my local M.A.C counter to tell me that Velvet Teddy is back in stock, and the amount of time I have spent debating in my head whether or not to go in and buy it isn't exactly something I'm proud to say. VT will likely be my next M.A.C lipstick purchase, but the recently released Whirl and Russian Red aren't far behind.

Over the past month I've bought a M.A.C lippy every two weeks and I can feel a pattern emerging. If you're ever shopping with me leading up to my next payday, please FORCE ME to walk past the M.A.C stand. Cool, thanks.

Too Faced Love Flush Blush

Mecca Maxima, $38 at time of publish

I'm not really a blush person - highlighter and bronzer FTW - but these matte blushes are starting to convert me. I've heard so many good reviews of these adorable little compacts and the fact that they're matte, and therefore very wearable, is tempting. The range is almost all sold out, which only further convinces me to get any shade I can get my hands on (Too Faced's marketing team is genius #suckerforlimitedstock), but I'll be extra happy if I can catch the shades pictured below. That stunning mauve is Your Love Is King, the soft pink is Love Hangover, and the flattering beige is Baby Love.

Billion Dollar Brows Brow Brush

Mecca Maxima, $23 at time of publish

Because my day is just better when I have good brows (it's the simple pleasures), this dual-ended brush has been on my radar for quite some time. I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade to do my arches and this brush has all of the things I need - an angled end to create the perfect brow shape, a spoolie to groom the hairs into place, and is reasonably priced for a high end brush. Tick. Tick. Tick.

Hourglass Holiday Palette

Mecca, announced as $132

Like what feels like every beauty lover out there, when this limited edition palette was announced on Spacenk, THIS BABY GAVE ME HEART PALPITATIONS. You know that feeling when you see a cute baby animal or baby human and your ovaries feel like they're exploding?

This is not a healthy sensation to feel when you look at a inanimate object, but I know that regardless of how much this ends up costing, I need to have it in my life (#shecray #iknow). This six-shade palette includes three of Hourglass' famous highlighting powders, two blushes and one of their new bronzers, and I apologise to my bank account in advance. #worthit

  3. Oh god, that Hourglass holiday palette is just straight up rude to my wallet. I have the ambient lighting palette though, so hopefully that'll stop be from buying this beaut. The packaging is just so pretty though!
