Top Picks From Elliatt's New Outerwear Collection + Giveaway Winner

Decadent prints and luxurious textures. If that doesn't sound like the perfect description for the gorgeously cosy and simultaneously chic new outwear 2014 collection from Elliatt, take a look for yourself and you'll soon agree with me!

Based in Sydney, the Australian label's new range of outerwear is released this week and I couldn't help but put together a wish list of sorts for my favourite pieces. Now that it's March, the weather is only going to get cooler (but so does the fashion!) so I'm definitely starting to keep my eye out for stunning autumn pieces. And Elliatt has the goods!

Take a look:

And that was just a taste of the pieces featured in Elliatt's outerwear collection! I'm trying to not pine after everything in the stunning new range (but I'm not doing a very good job), so I've narrowed it down to my top six looks and where to wear them.

The Vanishing Point Dress
Does this dress not scream class? The high neckline and full back are feminine and elegant, while the mid-thigh hemline still shows off your legs and keeps the look flirty. Modest and minx-y! I'm loving the pillar-style print and the pleather piping that skims over the hips towards the hemline.

Where To Wear: To a first dinner date at a restaurant.

Suspension Splice Top
How stunning is that deep teal blue? Paired with the lace detailing on and across the shoulders, this top is perfect for wearing both day and night. I especially love the pattern of the lace; it's not your typical floral style lace, instead this top features more of a graphic floral print. Love that uniqueness!

Vanishing Point Shorts
I actually had the pleasure of featuring these shorts in an upcoming autumn look book (coming soon to Taken By Surprise!) and I can speak from experience that these high waisted cuties are super comfortable and cosy. I love the leatherette look along the sides and on the frame of the pockets (and because of the way these shorts are cut, they also make your derrière and legs look amazing!).

Where To Wear: Casual Friday at the office; this look transitions perfectly for Friday night drinks.

Suspension Splice Top
This top is the same as the one in the image above, but here you can see it what it looks like when it isn't tucked in. Because it's shorter at the front and falls delicately at the back, this top is a great dressier option because the cut and the lace look fancy enough for a more dressed up event, with minimal styling required.

Desert Rose Pants
I'll say it, I'm a sucker for a good pair of printed pants. When I saw these, they pretty much took my breath away. I adore the detailed floral print and the way that the entire colour scheme of these are darker than your typical floral pants. Most printed pants are difficult to work into a night time look because they're usually too bright, but these are just right.

Where To Wear: Brunch with your girlfriends at the new 'it' cafe.

The Sahara Splice Dress
Colour blocking is back! Thanks to the black paneling along the sides, this dress is super flattering because it slims and streamlines your entire look. The simple style is super effective and really does make you look like you're ready to get down to business. I'm also loving the longer than usual tee sleeves and the subtle crop at the front half of the skirt hem. Plus it's orange, my favourite colour!

Where To Wear: To your big meeting or presentation at the office.

Desert Rose Bustier
Print on print can really do no wrong. This bustier is sexy and sassy without being too over the top and the sharp lines are fantastically bold. The deep V shows off a little cleavage without being too revealing and the peplum style bottom of the top is great for showing off (or creating the illusion of) a small waist and wider hips. Plus, paired with those amazing Desert Rose Pants, I'm positively swooning!

Where To Wear: A girl's night out.

The Desert Rose Dress
You can probably tell that I love this exclusive print from Elliatt! This is my kind of dress; I tend to wear dresses with high necklines, have a rad print, show off my shoulders, cinch in at the waist and flare off into a short skirt. So I think this dress must have been made for me! I seriously don't know how to articulate the amount of adoration I have for this dress, except for that it's easily my favourite piece from the entirety of Elliatt's new collection.

Where To Wear: A party, of course!
